Whether you want to start your own record label or become the next big rapper, you need to have a game plan for success. Here are a few tips to get you on the way to making it big.

COMPARE YOURSELF TO THE BEST

If you want to become great in the hip hop industry - you have to compare yourself to the absolute best. Don't be satisfied with mediocrity. You need to compare yourself to the absolute best in the industry. Compare yourself to guys like Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, Diddy and Master P. Try to emulate or even exceed what they have achieved.

MIMIC THE INDUSTRY LEADERS

If you want to be successful in the hip hop industry - find out what people who are successful in the field did to make it and do exactly what that did to get successful. This sounds so basic and it is. Ya see - being extremely successful isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. Somewhere out there is a blueprint that's already been created by someone else that if you followed it exactly - you'd achieve success just like the person who created it did. Read autobiographies and articles about the "godfathers" of the hip hop industry - Find a mentor who's made it in the industry - Research all you can about those who've made it big. You just have to keep trying and keep modeling those who already made it. Of course there's room for your original flair but you don't necessarily have to reinvent the wheel. Certain patterns and methods just work every time.

EXPECT EVERYTHING

The subconscious mind is an amazing. It takes or core beliefs and tends to interpret them literally. One big reason you may not have success in your life right now is because you expect to fail. Expect everything and things will start coming to you. If you don't believe deep down inside that you can have things or achieve things - you won't. If you encounter obstacles on the road to becoming big in the hip hop industry - start looking at them as lessons - not obstacles. Just say - what can I learn from this? And then keep on expecting the best. Sales people around the globe are taught a technique called assuming the sale. The idea behind it is that when you are trying to sell a product or service, you should assume that the person has already bought what you're trying to sell. The confidence that you project while assuming that the person wants what you're offering makes them trust you and dramatically increases conversion ratios. Start assuming that you're already successful in the industry and watch what happens. Act as if! Act as if you already have - and it will come!

VISUALIZE YOURSELF AS A BIG HIP HOP STAR

Visualization works. It's a simple as that. The more specific you are with your visualizing - the better it works. I spend a half hour - 3 days a week visualizing what I want in my life. I want you to realize that all that you can visualize - you can have. Your imagination is limitless. When you have a goal, the best way to accelerate its achievement is to visualize it coming true Take some time right now and close your eyes. Envision in depth your life as a famous rapper or producer.

Picture the clothes you'll be wearing - your new Rolex watch on your wrist - the crowd of people cheering while your on stage or the millions of people bobbing their heads to a beat that you created. Fell how good it feels. Start doing this every day and your subconscious mind will start to guide your life in that direction. Your subconscious mind follows your direction. It's up to you to point it in the right direction by visualizing what you want all the time.
